Safeguarding means helping to protect people from abuse, neglect and exploitation while supporting their safety, wellbeing and rights.
For Driver and Rider Trainers, it also means creating a professional learning environment where pupils feel respected, safe and able to speak up. It also means that trainers are an extra set of eyes and ears on the ground and are in a unique position to be able to spot a safeguarding concern and take the most appropriate action.
